Custom Work

This book and matching box were commissioned as a wedding gift from groom to bride.  The book contains a collection of courtship love letters.   The illuminated dedication and colophon are hand painted in gouache with 22 karat gold accents.

This book is blank inside.  It was commissioned after the “experimental” goldwork beetle made its debut at Arts on Atlantic’s Book Arts Showcase (2007).  The cover is green silk velvet with gold embroidery, leather and glass beads.
